  1. Hi Brandi,

I think your idea of balance is a great one. That's a resolution I would really like to see myself achieve.

    Have a great day!

  5. Oh, I forgot to put reading the Bible on my list! Good one. I'm in 1 Samuel now, long way to go...

  6. Making notes while reading is something I need to do too. Although, I need to do it, so I can learn to annotate better to help me while in school.

  7. Thank you for stopping by!:)

You've written down a lot of resolutions that I ought to have thought of - especially the note-taking and blog socialising!:D

My husband and I are going steadily through the Bible. I think for the first time I might finish it completely - sometime next year, that is.:)

Good luck with keeping your resolutions!

  9. Good luck on all your resolutions! I'm aiming to read more books this year than last year but I'm far from accomplishing 200 :D

  10. @Selena- a good balance is so hard to achieve!

@Greyz- there are some amazing people around. I am pretty shy too, but it is easier behind a computer screen for me

@Misha- my goal last year was 100 with my mommy's group, but I got 175, so they insisted my challenge be more :)

@Tina- I have seen some people with a 300 goal- don't think I could ever do that, especially with a 2 yr old
    Are you reading straight through?

    @Risa- I do admit I cheated a bit and read a few other's before I made mine.
I have read all the way through before, and am now mostly focusing on NT

@Teacher- how many did you get last year? I think the important thing is to just challenge ourselves.

  11. Thanks for stopping by the blog!

Your list is short but too the point. I like it. I've never made an effort to read the bible... wonder if I ever will...?

Let me tell you, writing notes or placing stickies inside the books for reviews does make it easier to write the review. Definitely try it.

  12. Great list of reading resolutions you have listed here Brandi! I could definitely apply some of them to me as well. Hope you manage to find the balance that you're craving! It's something I wouldn't mind either!

  15. Thanks for commenting to my blog! I think making notes while reading is a great habit to get into - I try, but I don't always have the discipline to actually do it. But it does make reviewing so much easier. Good luck with your resolutions!

  16. Great list! You can read 200! I know you can. I'm aiming for 219 this year. Odd number, I know...but I signed up for the "Outdo Yourself Challenge" and said I'd do 16 more books than this year. Managed 203...so there you have it. Good luck! We can cheer each other on.

  17. Good luck reading 200 books this year! That's amazing!

Making notes as you read makes it so much easier to write your review later!

Thanks for sharing your resolutions with us!

  19. 200 books? To me that would seem to contradict the resolution to...well, all of them, really! :p

I probably read about 50-60 books per year, and that's about all the storytellin' I can hold. I'm glad that you have the time and energy to read so much, and the ability to keep all those stories straight in your head!
